Teen girl hit by car in midtown Tucson

Tucson police say the midtown intersection of Grant Road and Alvernon Way has reopened following a serious-injury crash involving a pedestrian Monday morning.

The pedestrian is a teenage girl, according to police spokesperson Officer Ray Smith. Police haven’t said whether she was in a crosswalk at the time of the collision. Smith said the driver of the vehicle is cooperating with the investigation.
