How would you change the world to make it better? A better question is, how will you let the world change you and how will you make it a better place? It’s more of a personal choice on what you make life to be, whether that be by helping a charity, helping someone less fortunate, or even just visiting people in senior homes. Setting the year off to a good start and keeping it great is all about keeping a positive outlook on life. Not every day is easy, or even enjoyable, but the bottom line is that you have to keep going and stay true to yourself. Personal happiness is proven to be dependent on your attitude. Sometime all you truly need to have a good day is to tell yourself that it is and live your life by not letting others negativity get you down. Maybe you have a boss that changes everything you had worked on, just tell yourself that you did your best and that you’re happy with what you brought to the world.
People do not define us, we create ourselves, and we are the only ones who can change ourselves. People tend to rely on what people think of them in order to feel good about themselves, but as a teacher of mine once said, “If you can’t respect yourself when others don’t, then you shall never be shown respect since you can’t even return it.” Some people live by a motto, to some that may be cheesy, but this actually helps some people stay true to what they believe and how they want to live their lives. Just remember to be yourself, respect yourself, and most of all, love who you are and the world will seem a lot brighter. Like the old wives’ tale, you’ll catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. So, remember to keep a positive outlook, and you will be happier.
