No injuries reported after fire breaks out in midtown Tucson Safeway

A fire caused the evacuation of a Safeway store in midtown Tucson Friday night, officials say.

Shortly after 8 p.m., fire crews were dispatched to the store at 1940 E. Broadway Blvd for reports of flames inside.

Employees and customers were evacuated from the building. No one was injured, the department said.

The fire was under control a short time later.

No further information was released.
