Tammie Brown wants to give you a taste of her musical talent with the unveiling of her latest EP.
Officially out Friday (Oct. 12), the four-song A Little Bit of Tammie EP is a folky-pop record inspired by an eccentric list of influences, including avant-garde art icon Amanda Lear, whales and her time on the first season of RuPaul’s Drag Race.
A Little Bit is the first taste of music we’ve heard from the Drag Race and Drag Race: All Stars contestant since she flaunted her Spanish chops on 2014’s Hot Skunx / Zorillos Calliente. The EP features collaborations with Drag Race season 2 contestant Kylie “Sonique” Love and Ricky Rebel.
“One of the songs is called ‘Lip Sync Suicide’… the influence was from season 1 [and] refusing to lip sync the first challenge. That’s a lip sync suicide,” she told Billboard Pride at DragCon. “And there’s also an homage to RuPaul’s Drag Race and to RuPaul in the song, as well, and hopefully we’ll be able to get him to be in the video,” she continues.
