Pedestrian seriously injured in Thursday night collision in Tucson

A pedestrian was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle on Country Club Road.

The crash occurred around 10 p.m. at Country Club near Irvington Road. Northbound and southbound Country Club were closed between Irvington Road and Missouri Street, said Sgt. Pete Dugan, a Tucson Police Department spokesman.

Dugan said the driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with traffic detectives.

The area reopened about 12:30 a.m. 

No further information has been released.
